A Few Black Friday Survival Tips Off The Top Of My Head

  • Wear comfortable shoes. Forget the heels. choose a loafer or sneaker for walking through the malls and parking lots.
  • Dress in layers. I do not know why stores are so hot. I am roasting the minute I get into the store. Ditch the heavy coat for layers. Your arms will thank you.
  • Go shopping with a mission. Know what you are there for and have a back up list of items to get if the original item is sold out.
  • Eat a good breakfast. The last thing you want is to run out of steam and do not want to wait in the long food court lines.
  • Bring some muscle to help you carry the packages. Buy them lunch for their troubles.
  • Use a GPS tracking device to help you locate your car. There are several apps you can download.
  • Make sure you are parked in a well-lit area and there are a lot of people around.
  • Bring the fliers with you so you can show the sales associate the product you are looking for.

So much for my tips. What are yours?
