What do you think of the Almond Nail Shape?

I have been wearing my nails in a square shape for a long time.  A few weeks ago I decided I was sick of that shape and went to oval.  I love oval as it turns out.
When I was little kid, my mom wore her nails in the almond shape.  For some reason I have been reluctant to go there.  I decided to let my nails grow longer and see how I like it.
It will be fun to see my nails go, “back in time”.
Have you tried this look?

The Perfect Cowl

Last year I purchased this cowl From The Good Night Day Knits on Etsy.  I love it!  It kept me warm last winter and is so soft.  I also received plenty of compliments.  This is my second purchase from this shop.  If you are looking for something beautiful to keep you warm, look no further.

Ponté Ankle Pants

I picked up this pair of Ponté Ankle Pants at Land's End during their sale.  I consider ponte pants to be a staple in my wardrobe.  They look nicer than leggings, more polished.  In black, you can match up with almost anything.  The best quality ones have more rayon than polyester and have a touch of spandex.  This fabric combination allows it to pop back into shape unlike leggings that get stretched out.

If you are considering picking up a pair of ponte pants, I recommend you go try them first.  I have ponte pants from Talbots and Land's End.  Good quality pants will last you a long time with proper care.

Dita Von Teese Makeup Tutorial By Lea Whitefeather

I have a few make up artists that are my favorites on YouTube.  I have been watching Lea Whitefeather the longest. She has a lot of videos that can take you to day-to-night or a costume/retro look.

Who doesn't love Dita Von Teese?  Leah does a wonderful job recreating her look.

The Perfect Boot

I finally found a boot that is fashionable and is good for the winter weather.  These boots come from Timberland.  I paid a pretty penny for them but I know they are going to last.  I ordered them in this go-to shade and the style is classic so it will not go out of style.

The Best Beauty Finds - Cat Cosmetics Earth Cat Eyeshadow

I have been using Cat Cosmetics' Earth Cat shadow for years.  It gives me the perfect neutral eye that goes with everything. You get a light shimmer side and a matte side. The shimmer is very light and perfect for all ages. The matte shadow is perfect to wear all over if you wish.  This shadow stays on for a long time, even without a primer.

New Find - E.L.F Studio Eyebrow Kit - Review

I have been using this E.L.F Studio Eyebrow Kit for a few months now and I have to say I just love it.  It fills in your brows and stays in place.  I am using the light color.  You first apply the wax, then add the powder to set. Within seconds you have a beautiful brow shape.  The only drawback for me is that it does not come in an auburn shade.  Auburn suits me better.  The cost is around $3!  You can find it at Target or shop online at the E.L.F. Site.

New Find - Nailtini Nail Polish

This *shade is from last years Janie Bryant Limited Edition Collect For Nailtini.  I have worn it for a week and it has lasted me a with no signs of chipping. The colors are beautiful and well worth the $14. Shop around to get the best deal.

*Shade: Bourbon Satin

Pumpkin Spice Latte

This time of year is my favorite time for warm beverages.  You can't go wrong with Pumpkin Spice Latte.
Starbucks is famous for their Pumpkin Spice but sometimes I prefer to make my own.

RECIPE

Ingredients

  • 3 cups hot whole milk
  • 4 teaspoons white sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
  • 6 ounces double-strength brewed coffee
  • 3 tablespoons sweetened whipped cream
  • 3 pinches pumpkin pie spice

Directions

  1. Combine the hot milk, sugar, vanilla extract, and pumpkin pie spice in a blender; blend until frothy. Pour the mixture into 3 coffee mugs to about 2/3 full. Pour 2 ounces coffee into each mug. Garnish each mug with whipped topping and pumpkin pie spice.

*I like to use vanilla soy milk instead of milk.
